Cindy Lawson started her rock career in Minneapolis, where her 80’s band, the all-female Clamsbroke a few barriers and a few hearts in the Minneapolis indie rock scene before disbanding in 1989. The 99ers have been pumping out melodic punk/pop rock for over a decade. As well as playing live shows across and beyond the Twin Cities, The 99ers have released five albums on Spinout Records. For the last 10 years, The Silverteens have thrived by combining ’60s-influenced Garage Rock with their own hard-charging brand of Punk/Power Pop.
