The Hook & Ladder Theater is proud to host, The GranVarietà – A Community Variety Show – presented in conjunction with Bouba Duo Theater Company, The University of Minnesota, The St. Paul Conservatory and 4 Humors.

This is an event which is designed to showcase the sometimes ‘hidden’ talents of members of our community who have something to share with an audience. Poems, acrobatics, music, spoken-word, uniquely special skills, etc. From bakers to skateboarders we want to see what people can do and give them a chance to share it on stage!
This performance opportunity is open to anyone and everyone interested in a taste of the spotlight. A call for artists in being organized for 5pm on November 12th at The Ivy Building, more info is available by contacting:
The GranVarietà will be framed by students of the Roots of Fiasco workshop, a research on naivety and its presence on stage, taught by Kenzi and Alessio Allen Negro.
No barrier to entry, but Donations are graciously accepted at the door.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
