Add his fat harmonica playing, dead-on phrasing, commanding stage-presence and instant audience rapport and it’s easy to understand why the audience howls when he delivers his music.

Dan Israel Album Release with J. Bell & The Lazy Susan Band
      $8/12
    • Description
With little fanfare, Dan Israel releases his 16th album, simply titled "DI", a mere 7 months after the release of his acclaimed 2019 album "Social Media Anxiety Disorder". Recorded at Sparta Sound with Rich Mattson, featuring Dan's core band of David J. Russ and Mike Lane, along with keyboardist Al Oikari and guest drummer (on 3 songs) Chris Petrack, "DI" is a 9-song return-to-basics triumph for Israel, featuring melodic and memorable rock songs with hooks and guitar riffs aplenty (many provided by underrated guitar ace Mattson). Dan Israel has gotten especially prolific since he quit his day job in 2017 - and "DI shows that Israel's dedication to quality (and not simply quantity) songwriting has not waned in the least.
