EVENT DESCRIPTION
Dead Larry
with JoJo Green, & Covalent BLonde
A groovy night with three of the Twin Cities premier indie rock bands. Warm your heart and soul while these bands meld rock, jazz pop, funk, & dream pop r&b into one awesome intimate evening in our Mission Room!
DEAD LARRY
Dead Larry’s powerful blend of high energy rock, dance and funk shakes the foundation of modern music. From rock driven sea shanties to pulsating dance beats. From Beatle-esque harmonies to spine chilling screams. From shake-yo-booty funk jams to orchestral themes of space and time travel. Dead Larry is one thing: Original. All 4 members grew up together in Iowa City, IA. The band was formed in a basement in high school in 2004. In 2011 the entire band relocated to Minneapolis, MN. After over 10 years of writing, touring, and chasing the dream, Dead Larry has a grown to be one of the most prominent independent rock bands coming out of the Midwest. https://www.facebook.com/deadlarry
JOJO GREEN
St Paul indie jazz pop fusion quintet, JoJo Green is a well-oiled machine that boasts a big, energetic, uniquely authentic face-smacking sound. With strong influences from Motown, Muscle Shoals, and The Summer of Love, JoJo Green gives a nostalgic feeling to a fresh sound, easy on the ears, and exciting to the body. Listeners are mesmerized by JoJo Green’s powerhouse vocals mixed with agile woodwinds, shredding guitars, funky bass, and driving drums: a surefire crowd pleaser! https://jojogreenmusic.com
COVALENT BLONDE
Covalent Blonde is a dreamy pop R&B band based out of the Twin Cities. A mixture of intimate catchy hooks and tight grooves, Drew Mabusth’s original music will have you feeling sun soaked and toasty warm. She is backed by a wickedly talented four-piece band made up of Tanner Montague (drums), Nick Benish (bass), Kevin Gamble (keys), and Keston Wright (guitar).
