The Heavy Sixers, Gini Dodds and the Dahlias, & Ylvisaker
The Heavy Sixers -> Minneapolis band fronted by Steve Dupuis. Inspired by Alt rock of the 80s and 90s. Currently performing in the Midwest.
Gini Dodds & The Dahlias -> Gini Dodds began writing, recording and performing in the Twin Cities with her band, The Dahlias, in the late 90’s. Pulling from both British and American influences, she has been described as a cross between Chrissie Hynde and Lucinda Williams. Sweet Christine, a song off her first CD, Mellowdrama, was a winner in the Nashville Songwriters Association songwriting contest.
Jeremy Ylvisaker -> An independent songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and teacher living in south Minneapolis. He is one of the stars in a constellation of local musicians and artists that partner with each other in a variety of music projects including Andrew Bird, Dosh, Guitar Party, The Cloak Ox, Gramma’s Boyfriend, and Alpha Consumer.
