Elektric Voodoo is a world beat rock & roll band out of San Diego, CA,  The 7-piece ensemble blends Afrobeat and Latin rhythms with rock & roll, psychedelia, jazz, blues and many other influences into its own unique genre that tastefully straddles the line between modern and vintage. What the listener is left with is a very unique sound that while is immediately very dance-able, also offers innovation, song craft, and melody. The band is led by Scott Tournet, co-founder of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals.

Scott’s successful career path before forming Elektric Voodoo includes writing, performing and recording with Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), The Allman Brothers, Billy Gibbons, Robert Plant, Willie Nelson, Taj Mahal, Mark Batson (Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, etc.), Mavis Staples, The Black Crowes, Bob Weir, and many more.  Through these experiences Tournet became schooled in song craft, soul, pop, blues, and classic rock & roll at the highest level.

Elektric Voodoo have shared the stage with a wide variety of artists including Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Anders Osborne, Rebirth Brass Band, Con Brio, Commander Cody, North Mississippi Allstars, Polyrhythmics, Monophonics, Orgone, and many more.

The new album “Telescope” has been mixed by Grammy Award-Winning producer Collin Dupuis (Lee Fields, The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Dr. John,  Brownout, The Arcs)  and was mastered by Dave Cooley (Tame Impala, DIIV, Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, Spoon, Bob Marley, M83, Fitz & the Tantrums, Dr. Dog, Stone Temple Pilots)

“Tastes of The Flaming Lips, Santana, Fela Kuti, Tame Impala and The Arcade Fire break through atop this soulful collection of songs that are birthed with unlimited potential.”   – Glide Magazine

“Intriguing, enticing, and engaging all at the same time —– evidence of Elektric Voodoo’s ability to cast a hypnotic spell.”    – Relix Magazine

RAMPANT ROOTS
With a passion and undeniable respect for roots music, Rampant Roots uses a blended style of various musical genres rooted in rock, blues, funk and folk to form a night of improvisational soul jams. Established in 2012, this four-piece power group has played in countless venues and festivals across their home state of MN. Stories of thought provoking adventures, mind melting dueling guitars, harmonious vocals, thundering bass and bone shaking percussion will fill the room and take you to another world. When attending these shows, it becomes clear that the love and respect between performer and listener is reciprocated and knows no bounds.
