Agent Orange – The original surf punk power trio returns to Minneapolis. Plus a rare appearance from “the wild women of rock and roll”, The Toxenes! Vinyl records before the show and between sets by America’s most dangerous DJ duo: DJ Rock The Monkey
Agent Orange are the true pioneers of surf punk, and one of the truly enduring bands in the West Coast punk community. Formed in Placentia, California in 1979 by guitarist Mike Palm, The band name was a dual reference to the notorious defoliant used in Vietnam and the group’s home in California’s Orange County.
The Toxenes, formed in 2016 by guitarist Monet Wong and bassist Ariel Dornbush after a 5 year run as L’Assassins came to a close, soon they found their ultimate new band mate in ex-Devil Baby drummer Madalyn Rowell. The gals have released several records and toured the USA and Europe. They stay active despite Ariel relocating to Nashville in 2019, and Mady and Monet remaining in the Twin Cities.
Low Rats is a garage-punk-rock-and-roll group with landlocked surf rock undercurrents. The tunes are steeped in Nuggets, and their roots are planted in 80s punk.
