Born from passion, Kathy, Nadirah and Natalie make up the Minneapolis 3 piece that Gully Boys is today. Gully Boys melodic tunes and raw lyrics make it hard to believe that in 2016, none of them knew how to play their instruments. Drawing inspiration from a multitude of musical back grounds, Gully Boys transcends genre. Through hard work, diligent practice and fresh enthusiasm Gully Boys have recorded their first LP Not So Brave released August 12th and won City Pages ‘Picked to Click 2018: Minnesota’s Best New Band’.
“Gully Boys: With their echoes of fuzz-rocky ’90s bands and lyrical, high-wiry songs, this trio become one of the most buzzing new Twin Cities bands of the past year ” – Chris Riemenschneider — Star Tribune
Kent Burnside was born into the blues. He grew up in the North Mississippi Hill Country and is the eldest grandson of blues legend R.L. Burnside. As a boy, Kent worked in the fields surrounding Holly Springs, Potts Camp and Chulahoma. He sold sandwiches to folks who gathered at the family farm to hear his grandfather play the blues. When Kent was nine, R.L. gave him his first guitar lesson. Today, Kent Burnside travels the world to continue his family’s important musical legacy and build his own. Kent’s powerful, raw, deeply soulful performances are at once hypnotic, dark, hopeful, engaging and danceable. Kent wants every person to leave his show with a smile on their face and real Mississippi Blues in their heart.
The Flood Brothers
The Flood Brothers are a THUMP MACHINE whose infectious melodies and animal rhythms will have your bones shakin’ outta your boots! Heavily influenced by the early Rock ‘N’ Roll sounds of Memphis and Deep Blues of North Mississippi, Gabe Meyer with Colin and Jacob Best add their own bend to the boogie that could only come from the muddy banks of the mighty Mississippi River. Hannibal, MO is where these boys and their music call home.
