Singer-songwriter’s Jason Chaffee and Joe Kopel visit the Hook to give us a night of awesome songwriting and a full electric sound!
Chicago born, Wisconsin raised Jason Chaffee is a singer-songwriter who calls Minneapolis Minnesota home. Writing ambient and catchy pop-rock, compared vocally with Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, and Colin Hay he is able to bridge driving melodies with an emotionally charged sound palate that will keep a new ear replaying the tunes after a first listen.
“Carry Me”, released in September 2018 and debuted in the top 200 college radio charts, is Jason’s first album which tells a deep personal story of seemingly being born again from ashes. The first song on the album “Lost It All (Only Road)” sets the precedent for what is to become a personal triumph over struggles that leave us with no other choice but to pick up our wreckage and try another way. In promotional support of the album release he will be joined by a seasoned line of musicians who toured as members of Gin Blossoms, Tommy Keene, and Another Carnival for regional touring as well as guest appearances at local media outlets, podcasts, and online shows. Distribution will be supported by festivals such as Iceland Airwaves and North Coast.
A year out from the release of his new album “Topics” Joe Kopel is a rare gem in a sea of singer/songwriters.  Winning high praise among the local music community for his raw and emotive writing and performance, he is able to draw you in and keep your attention with his lyrical storytelling and melodies.  If you feel like you’ve heard his music before, you probably have on the likes of The Current and now will get a chance to hear him perform these songs live.
