Guitarist Albert Castiglia is the acknowledged master of red-raw, sweat-and-hair blues and he’s rollin’ into the Mission Room for the Twin Cities release of his new album, “Masterpiece.”
Castiglia combines hardcore blues with soul, rock, and country favors for a sound that appeals to rockers and blues purists alike; his vocal style has been compared to Van Morrison.
He hit the international radar when Junior Wells invited him to be his permanent lead guitarist on several world tours. Since then, he’s played with a who’s who of blues greats in his career including likes of Pinetop Perkins, Ronnie Earl, John Primer, and Otis Clay.
“Albert Castiglia is the real deal. If you have not heard what this guy can make a guitar do, then this is the opportunity to find out.” – Crossroads Blues Society
“It may be a bit premature to crown Albert Castiglia America’s newest King of the Blues, but there’s little doubt that he at least deserves the title of heir apparent.” Miami New Times
